Clasp documentation
Clasp is a Shopify theme by Buglyph for handmade and demi-fine jewelry stores: gold fill, vermeil and recycled silver makers, charm bars and permanent jewelry studios, and vintage, antique and bridal dealers. It is set like an open jewelry box. The page is ivory and quiet, the type is small and exact (a fine, light serif, Trirong, over a clear sans, Lato), and every editorial photo is set like a stone: masked into an arch or an oval and ringed by a bezel, a fine gilt keyline that follows its shape. Once or twice a page the box shows its lining, a deep velvet band that carries the announcement bar, the stack builder and the footer. One small ornament, the facet (a cut stone seen from above), marks kickers and separators. Product photos stay square and unframed, controls are small rectangles with fine corners, and nothing sparkles or loops. Clasp is built for the way jewelry sells: in metals, sizes and stones, often as a gift, often engraved, often worn in stacks. Its tools do exactly that: metal and stone chips, a ring size guide with a printable, true-scale ring sizer, engraving with a live preview, a stack builder that layers rings (or charms) on a display and adds the whole stack in one tap, and a birthstone strip.
This guide covers Clasp 1.0.0. Every setting name in it is the name you see in the theme editor.
This documentation is the Clasp user guide (version 1.0.0), the same guide that comes as a PDF in the download. Start with Getting started, or pick a chapter.
