Contents
  • Countries and currencies: set up markets in admin under Settings › Markets. With more than one, the footer and the phone menu show a country/currency selector. Prices convert through Shopify, including the pack's button.
  • Languages: Peel ships in English. Add languages under Settings › Languages and translate with Shopify's free Translate & Adapt app, which covers the theme's words, your section text, your settings and your metafields. With more than one language published, a language selector appears beside the country selector.
  • The free gift and free shipping messages show only to shoppers paying in your store's currency, because the amounts can't be converted reliably. In another currency there's no bar and no gift, so if you sell abroad, say so where you promise the gift.
  • Finish and size names: the theme matches option names as the shopper sees them. If you translate them, add the translated names to Finish option names and Size option names ("Finish, Finition"), and label a translated filter to match.
  • Finish values: the theme reads the words in the value, so "Holographique" still reads as holographic, but "Mat" doesn't read as matte. Add translated words to Other finish names, such as Mat | matte.
  • Size numbers: chips and See it on read the number in the value, so keep the digit in a translated value: "Paquet de 10". The pack falls back to the product's first option if it can't find its size option by name, so keep the size option first.
  • The pack's property: the Cart property name is your setting and stays the same in every language. The shopper's stickers arrive in their language: a translated sticker name reaches the order translated.
  • Right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew mirror the layout, including the back-to-top button's side. Shop the desk's hotspots stay where you put them on the photo, because the photo isn't mirrored.
  • Countdowns are absolute moments: every shopper counts down to the same instant.
