Products, photos and the demo text aren't there after I install

They aren't included. The demo stores in the listing photos use our own sample products and art. Your products appear as soon as you add them, and sections that need a product or image show samples until you choose one.

The bag says "Free sticker unlocked", but no sticker went in

No Gift product is chosen in Theme settings › Free gift progress, or the gift can't be sold. The presets ship with the bar on and no gift. Follow chapter 11, or turn off Show the free-gift bar.

The gift is in the bag, but it isn't free

The discount isn't applying. The line shows the real price, and the shopper will pay it. Check that it's a Buy X get Y discount with Free chosen, that its minimum matches Spend this much, that its Customer buys collection holds the products in the bag, and that it's active. If you used Amount off products on the gift alone, it can't work: Shopify only counts the selected products towards its minimum (chapter 11).

Why does a shopper with $19 of stickers and a $3 gift not get to keep it?

The bar doesn't count the gift, so that bag is at $19 and the gift leaves. That's on purpose: a gift can't pay for itself (chapter 11).

A shopper used Buy it now and got no gift

Buy it now and accelerated checkout skip the bag, and the bag is what adds the gift. Turn off Show accelerated checkout buttons in the Buy buttons block if you want every order to go through it.

The gift doesn't show in search or on a collection

That's what Unlisted is for. It's added to the bag by the theme, not found by shoppers.

The gift bar doesn't show for some shoppers

It only shows to shoppers paying in your store's currency, and only with something in the bag.

The product page says "Free shipping over $35." but I don't offer it

The presets set an amount. Set Theme settings › Commerce › Free shipping over to your real threshold, or 0 to hide every free shipping message, and rewrite your announcement bar to match.

My Finish option shows as pills, not swatches

Its name must be in Theme settings › Finish and size › Finish option names, and Show finish and size previews must be on. Capitals don't matter, but the spelling does.

A finish swatch has no sheen

The theme doesn't recognise the word in the value. Add it to Other finish names, such as Satin | glossy (chapter 8).

The holo looks dim

The sheen works like real holo: dark ink stays dark. It's at its best on light art or a transparent PNG (chapter 8).

All my size chips are the same size

A value has no number in it, or every value has the same number. Give each value a digit: "2″", not "Small" (chapter 8).

The size hint is wrong, or missing

Hints match on the number. Rewrite Size hints for your sizes and your units: the defaults are for inches.

See it on doesn't show on my product page

Its scenes need images. In the theme editor, select See it on under the Product section and give at least one Scene an image. The product also needs an image of its own (chapter 9).

The sticker in See it on is a square

There's no custom.sticker_png on the product, or the key is different, or the PNG's background isn't transparent (chapter 7).

The sticker in See it on doesn't change size, or is huge

Check that the product's size option is listed in Size option names, and that The size this placement is set for uses the same units as your Size option: 50 for sizes in millimetres, not 3 (chapter 9).

My card images look wrong with Contour

Contour needs every product image to be a cut-out. Switch Sticker cut to Tile if some are photos (chapter 2).

Mix-and-match packs doesn't show

Choose both a Pack product and a Stickers collection, and check that a pack size has a number in it. On the storefront the section shows nothing without them.

The pack is listing all my products

The presets come pointed at all products. Choose your own Stickers collection (chapter 10).

The section says no value has a number

Your pack sizes need a digit in them: "Pack of 5", not "Small pack". Check that Pack size option name matches your option.

An order for a pack came through with no stickers

The pack isn't tagged. Add your Mix pack tag (mix-pack by default) to the product and give it the product.mix-pack template: a tagged pack has no ordinary buy buttons, on its page or in quick view, so it can only be added full (chapter 10).

A sticker sold in a pack still shows the same stock

Stock is counted on the pack, not on the stickers in it (chapter 10).

There are no finish chips above my collection

The chips need the Finish filter in Search & Discovery, labelled with one of your Finish option names. Check that Enable filtering is on and that some products in the collection have the option (chapter 13).

Shop by finish doesn't show

Its tiles need images. A tile with no image is skipped, and a section with none shows nothing (chapter 8).

My card shows no + button

Turn on Show quick add button in Theme settings › Product cards. The presets have it on. A sold-out product has no button.

The hero's stickers are missing on my live store

The presets' stickers are sample art, which only you see in the theme editor. Give each Sticker block an image (chapter 4).

The stickers on the hero are in different places on my phone

Phones ignore each sticker's position and use six fixed slots, in block order. Put your favourite six first (chapter 4).

The newsletter promises a free sticker on your birthday

The theme doesn't send email. Write and send it from Marketing, or change the Newsletter section's heading and body (chapter 4).

Can I use Peel on more than one store?

Each purchase covers one store. Buy a licence for each additional store (see LICENSE.txt).

How do I update to a new version of Peel?

Updates are provided at Buglyph's discretion and download the same way as your original purchase. Upload the new zip as a new theme and set it up alongside your live one before publishing. Your metafields, products, tags, collections, menus, pages, discounts and Search & Discovery filters live in your store, not the theme, so they carry over. Theme editor changes, including your Free gift progress settings and See it on scenes, need to be made again in the new copy.

Does Peel need any apps?

No app is needed for the finish and size picker, See it on, mix-and-match packs or the free gift bar. Shopify's free Search & Discovery app powers the finish chips and the complementary products, and its free Translate & Adapt app handles other languages. Subscriptions need a subscriptions app, and ratings come from a reviews app of your choice.
