Tress documentation
Tress is a Shopify theme by Buglyph for hair extension and wig brands, lash brands and lash techs, and press-on nail artists. It is the vanity mirror at the salon, lights on, at night. The default page is a warm jet black, the accent is hot pink, and every product stands in a tall capsule mirror (both ends round, long straight sides) with two soft streaks of glare that sweep across it when a shopper points at it. Banded sections open and close on a long strand wave, one slow S-curve across the page with three fine accent lines beside it, like a lock of hair lying along the edge. Headings are set in Abril Fatface, a fat, high-contrast poster face, and everything you read and press is Poppins. Buttons are crisp lacquer tiles with a gloss that runs across them on hover. Tress is built for the questions your inbox is full of: "what length should I get?", "which texture is that?", "what size am I?". Its tools answer them on the page: a length scale with a line-drawn figure, inches and centimetres and landmark lengths, texture chips and an (i) glossary for lace, density and grade; Build your install, which puts bundles and a closure in the bag as one install; nail shape and size with drawn nail chips and ten custom finger sizes; and a hair details label with care steps and a wig cap guide.
This guide covers Tress 1.0.0. Every setting name in it is the name you see in the theme editor.
This documentation is the Tress user guide (version 1.0.0), the same guide that comes as a PDF in the download. Start with Getting started, or pick a chapter.
