The vehicle finder doesn't appear

Check, in order: Theme settings › Vehicle fitment › Enable vehicle fitment is on; the Vehicle metaobject's type is exactly vehicle and Storefronts access is on; at least one Vehicle entry exists. The editor shows a note in place of the finder saying which one is missing.

The finder works, but the collection shows every product

The Fitment filter isn't set up in Search & Discovery, or the collection has more than 5,000 products. See chapter 6, step 4 and Known limits.

A part doesn't show "Fits your Hilux" on its card

Cards check the first 50 vehicles in the product's Fitment list. Move the common vehicles up the list, or check that the make and model in the shopper's vehicle are spelt the same as in the Vehicle entry.

I edited a vehicle but shoppers still see the old one

The finder keeps the vehicle list for the browser session and reloads it when the number of entries changes. Open the store in a new private window to check an edit.

How do I show something other than the SKU as the part number?

The part number is the variant's SKU. Put the number you want shoppers to search for in the SKU field, and add other numbers as oem: or xref: tags.

Where do the "Fitment guarantee" and "30-day returns" lines come from?

They are example text in the Assurance block and the Icon row section. Change them to your store's real terms, or remove them.

Can I use colour schemes like other themes?

Torque uses one palette for the whole store, with Page, Alternate and Dark band backgrounds per section. Pick a palette, then override single colours in Theme settings › Colors.

Can I switch to another preset after installing?

Yes: Theme settings › Theme style applies another preset's settings (chapter 1). For its home page, header and footer too, upload that preset's zip as a new theme. Your products, collections, menus and pages are shared by every theme, so nothing is lost.

How do I update the theme?

When Buglyph releases an update, you'll get a new zip. Upload it as a new theme, set it up to match your current one, then publish. Keep the old theme in your library until you're happy.

Do I need any apps?

No paid apps. Shopify's free Search & Discovery app is needed for filters and the vehicle filter, and its Product recommendations for complementary products. Subscriptions, pre-orders and back-in-stock emails from apps work with the theme's blocks.

The theme is slow to load my images

Upload product photos at least 1200px wide (2000px for hero images). Shopify serves the right size to each device, and images below the first screen load only as shoppers scroll.
