# Ribbon documentation

Ribbon is a Shopify theme by Buglyph for independent women's fashion boutiques: dresses, knitwear, lingerie, swim, bags, hair bows and pearls. It is set like a glossy fashion magazine you can shop: a high-contrast serif at cover scale over a quiet sans, tall square-cornered photography, generous white space, staggered editorial grids and caption cards that overlap the foot of a photo. Everything a shopper presses is soft and round: pill buttons, pill fields and pill size selectors. One motif ties it together: **the ribbon**, a satin band with two fine stitch lines across the top of every page, and its **bow**, used small and sparingly. It is built for the way boutiques sell: outfits rather than single pieces, sizes that shoppers need to trust before they buy, pairings on every product, and weekly drops and restocks.

This guide covers Ribbon 1.0.0. Every setting name in it is the name you see in the theme editor.

This documentation is the Ribbon user guide (version 1.0.0), the same guide that comes as a PDF in the download. Start with [Getting started](getting-started.md), or pick a chapter.
