# Markets and languages

Chapter 14 of the Loot user guide.

* **Countries and currencies**: set up markets in admin under **Settings › Markets**. With more than one, the footer (and the menu drawer on phones) shows a country/currency selector; pick a value and press the button beside it to switch. Prices convert through Shopify.
* **Languages**: Loot ships in English. Add languages under **Settings › Languages** and translate with Shopify's free **Translate & Adapt** app, which covers the theme's words, your section text and your rarity labels. With more than one language published, a language selector appears beside the country selector.
* **Right-to-left languages** such as Arabic and Hebrew mirror the layout, including the back-to-top button's side.
* **Free shipping** messages show only to shoppers paying in your store's currency, because the threshold can't be converted reliably.
* **Countdowns and drop times** are absolute moments: every shopper counts down to the same instant, and the release time is written in your store's time zone.
