# Cart

Chapter 12 of the Loot user guide.

Adding to cart opens the **cart drawer**, "Your haul", from the side of the screen, and the cart count in the header pops. The drawer and the cart page show the same things:

* The **free-shipping track** ("$22.05 away from free shipping", then "Free shipping unlocked") when **Theme settings › Commerce › Free shipping over** is above 0 and the shopper is shopping in your store's currency.
* Each line with a tinted thumbnail, its options, a quantity stepper, **Remove** and the line price. Pre-orders say "Pre-order · ships from 14 Nov" (from `custom.ships_from`), and products with a purchase limit say "Limit 1" and cap the stepper there.
* The **set nudge** ("You're 4 away from Neon Ronin wave 3", chapter 10).
* An **order note** field, cart discounts, the total, the tax line ("Tax and shipping calculated at checkout."), the **Check out** key, accelerated checkout buttons, and **View cart** in the drawer.
* Empty: "Your haul is empty. The shelves aren't." with a key back to the shop.

Quantity changes and removals update the cart in place. Apps that change the cart are picked up too, and screen readers hear "Item added to cart." and "Cart updated."
