# Blocks

Chapter 5 of the Clasp user guide.

These theme blocks go into the **Section** and **Rich text** sections, the footer, the **Article** section, the **Featured product** section and the Product section's buy box (where they sit between the product blocks):

| Block | Settings |
| --- | --- |
| **Kicker** | **Text** ("From the bench"): the short line with a small facet before it |
| **Heading** | **Text** ("Made one at a time"), set in the heading font, and **Size** (Large or Small) |
| **Text** | **Text** and **Style** (**Body** or **Introduction**, a little larger and softer) |
| **Button** | **Button label** ("Shop the studio"), **Link** and **Style**: **Primary** (the dark framed button with its gilt hairline), **Secondary** (an outline that fills on hover) or **Text link** (an underlined link) |
| **Collapsible row** | **Heading** ("Shipping"), **Content** and **Open by default** (off; shoppers can still close it). Connect a product, page or article metafield as a dynamic source to show content that changes per item, such as a care guide. |
| **Quote** | A testimonial: **Quote** (write it without quotation marks: the theme adds them), **Name** ("Hannah"), **Detail** (what they bought, "Sienna stacking bands") and **Stars** (5, 0 to 5; 0 hides the stars). Quotes sit three to a row. Only publish real quotes. |
| **Custom Liquid** | **Liquid** |

A Kicker, Heading, Text or Button with nothing in it shows nothing to shoppers. App blocks from your apps can also go into the Section, Product, Featured product and Product details sections.

The Product section's own blocks (Product metadata, Price, Material badges, Variant picker, Engraving, Buy buttons, Trust row and the rest) are in chapter 6, the signature features in chapters 8 to 12, and the footer's blocks in chapter 3.
