# Blocks

Chapter 5 of the Altar user guide.

These theme blocks go into the **Section** and **Rich text** sections, the footer, the **Article** section, the **Featured product** section and the Product section's buy box (where they sit between the product blocks):

| **Eyebrow** | **Text** ("Eyebrow text"): a short line in the secondary text color above a heading, after the small phase row of moons |
| **Heading** | **Text** ("Heading"), set in the heading font at section-heading size |

| **Button** | **Button label** ("Learn more") and **Link**: a primary pill button in the accent color |
| **Collapsible row** | **Heading** ("Shipping"), **Content** and **Open by default** (off; shoppers can still close it). Connect a product, page or article metafield as a dynamic source to show content that changes per item, such as a care guide. The heading is set in the heading font, with a fine gold plus that turns to a minus. The FAQ section and the product page's "Cleansing and care" and "Shipping and returns" rows are built from these. |
| **Quote** | A testimonial card: up to five accent stars, the quote in italic, the name and a product line. **Quote**, **Name** ("Priya, Melbourne"), **Product line** (blank uses the chosen product's title, linked to it), **Rating** (5, 0 to 5; 0 hides the stars) and **Product**. In Rich text, quotes sit three across. Only publish real quotes. |
| **Trust tick** | **Icon** (Star, Moon, Gift, Leaf, Flame or Sun) and **Text** ("Ethically sourced"): one short line with a small gold icon. Made for the hero, which lays its ticks out in a row under the buttons. |

An Eyebrow, Heading, Text, Button, Quote, Trust tick or Step with nothing in it shows nothing to shoppers; in the theme editor it shows a short hint so you can still select it. App blocks from your apps can also go into the Section, Product and Featured product sections.

The Product section's own blocks (Product metadata, Price, Variant picker, Buy buttons, Trust rows, Moon note and the rest) are in chapter 6, the signature features in chapters 8 to 11, and the footer's blocks in chapter 3.
